Getting started

Kickoff checklists, approval flow, and secure access sharing — the basics that make projects run smoothly.

Overview

Start here if you’re new.

Use the sections below as a quick checklist. You can share this page with your internal team to align on responsibilities and timelines.

Kickoff checklist: what we need from you

A strong kickoff prevents delays later. Before we start, please prepare the essentials below. If you don’t have something yet, that’s fine — share what you can and we’ll fill the gaps together.

  • Goal and success metric (leads, bookings, sales, sign-ups, etc.)
  • Primary pages/features and any must-have integrations
  • Brand assets (logo files, colors, fonts) and style references
  • Content: existing copy, access to docs, or who will approve copy
  • Access to your domain/DNS provider (or a delegated contact)
  • Analytics tools (GA4 / Tag Manager / pixels) if already in use
  • One decision-maker for sign-off and a backup approver

Project roles, timelines and approvals

Most projects move fastest when approvals are predictable. We’ll confirm a timeline at kickoff, but these are the roles that keep things running smoothly.

  • Approver: final “yes/no” on copy, design and scope changes
  • Content owner: supplies source materials and reviews wording
  • Technical owner: helps with domain/DNS, email and integrations
  • Stakeholders: optional reviewers with a defined feedback window
  • Review windows: agree on 24–72 hour turnaround for feedback
  • Change requests: anything outside the agreed scope becomes a separate estimate

How to share logins safely

Please avoid sending passwords in plain text. If possible, create separate user accounts for our team and enable multi-factor authentication.

  • Create a dedicated user account for Blue Wonders (least privilege needed)
  • Enable 2FA on admin accounts (recommended for all services)
  • Use a password manager share (preferred) or time-limited invite links
  • Rotate credentials after the project if you shared a shared password
  • For domains/DNS: use delegated access (not the registrar master password)

What happens after launch

Launch is the start of learning. After we go live, we monitor stability, fix issues quickly, and help you iterate based on real user behavior.

  • Post-launch monitoring (traffic, errors, broken links) for the care period
  • A short “handover” checklist: accounts, access, and admin training
  • Performance and SEO basics: indexing, sitemap, metadata verification
  • Ongoing support options: maintenance plan or retainer for improvements
  • If you manage your own domain: set renewal reminders to avoid downtime
